These are my most popular packages, where you have the choice of venue, with as many guests as you wish.

Note: These fees are only applicable for ceremonies held within 30 kms of Townsville. For Magnetic Island or out-of-town ceremonies, extra charges such as mileage/barge/ferry fees will apply.

Of course, this is only a guide, as all ceremonies are different – prices will be discussed at our first meeting, which is OBLIGATION FREE. I have various packages and I am sure we can find one to suit you. When we meet, you will be given a fully itemised Statement of Fees listing all prices as well as my terms and conditions.

ALL CEREMONIES ARE PERSONALISED AND INCLUDE:

Meetings + one rehearsal
All legalities, including completion and lodgement of all forms
Folder including details of relationship services/sample ceremonies/vows/symbols/rituals
Preparation of personalised ceremony
Use of signing table/2 chairs, PA system, microphones
Music for your ceremony (from 3 to 5 songs)
Officiating of the ceremony on the day
All correspondence, stationery, postage and printing costs
Ceremonial certificate of marriage (for the Official Marriage Certificate, see note below)
Complimentary keepsake booklet of your ceremony as well as palm cards for your vows
Travel within 30kms of my office

Note: Couples need to apply for the Official Marriage Certificate from Births Deaths and Marriages after the ceremony. Prices start from $54.40 and are subject to change as of July 1, 2024. I will guide you through the application and make the whole process seamless. The Official Marriage Certificate is indispensable for any name changes after marriage.

Official Marriage Certificate - information

INTIMATE, LEGALS ONLY or ELOPEMENT ceremonies:

$400.00 - at the couple's home or a private residence

$450.00 - in a public park

Some couples just want to get married without all the extras. They just want a short, simple ceremony, which includes all the legalities. It does not mean that they love each other any less, they are budget conscious and just want to be husband and wife. Some couples prefer to elope and present their friends and family with a "Fait Accompli", and they would prefer to do so in a familiar or more relaxed surrounding, instead of the Registry Office.

For this ceremony only the couple, the celebrant, the 2 witnesses and the couple's children (if applicable) will be in attendance. There might also be a few guests (no more than a dozen, including the bridal party). This ceremony is usually held at the couple's home or a private residence, but can also be held in a public park/garden for an extra $50.00, as my insurances will kick in and I need to bring a signing table/2 chairs.

All of the above ceremonies include the following:

1 meeting with me to lodge your NOIM and for me to sight your documents
All legalities including completion and lodgement of all forms
Your ceremonial Certificate of Marriage (see above for the Official Marriage Ceremony)
Officiating on the day of the ceremony
Signing table/chairs (if held in a park or public place)
Keepsake booklet of the ceremony and palm cards for your vows

Note: there is no provision for music or a PA for this type of ceremony

The signing of the Statutory Declaration takes place just before the ceremony and there is no provision for music. This ceremony contains all the legal components, and can be as beautiful and meaningful with the inclusions of poetry, readings, blessings etc...

Again, those fees do not apply for ceremonies held on Magnetic Island and out of town.

After our first meeting, which is obligation free, I will temporarily pencil in your date - I will require a booking fee of $100.00 to be paid as soon as possible, and within 2 weeks of our 1st meeting,to get the ball rolling - Payment of the booking fee effectively locks me in for your ceremony. I have various payment options, which are clearly listed on my statement of fees.

All my ceremonies are unique and tailored to suit your needs and beliefs.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

A Statement of Fees will be submitted for your perusal and are to be signed by all parties. Prices will be secured once this agreement has been signed by all parties
The Statement of Fees will contain all agreed details as well as costs so far (excluding unforeseen costs)
Once the booking fee is paid, I am committed to your ceremony and, in most cases, will only conduct one ceremony on any given day

BOOKING FEE:

The Booking Fee is payable within 14 days if our 1st meeting - this, in effect, locks me in for your ceremony
Balance of payment must be paid in full no later than 7 days prior to the wedding day and may be made by Cash, Cheque, EFT or Credit Card.
Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the ceremony

REFUND POLICY

Booking Fee

The Booking Fee is non-refundable, unless the celebrant fails to meet one of the requirements and obligations of the marriage celebrant under the Marriage Act 1961, the Marriage Regulations 1963, other legislation as well as the Code of Practice for Marriage Celebrants

Postponement or Cancellation by couple

As the Notice of Intended Marriage is valid for 18 months before the ceremony, the deposit will be held over until a new date is decided. The couple is responsible for any additional costs incurred by the postponement
If the ceremony is cancelled no later than 14 days prior to the ceremony date, all funds paid (except for the booking fee) will be refunded in full
If the ceremony is cancelled within 14 days of the ceremony date, fees may be refunded in part or in full (except for the booking fee) at the discretion of the celebrant or depending on the circumstances

Cancellation by celebrant:

In the event that I am unable to attend the ceremony, 100% of the funds paid will be refunded
If the event that I need to refer you to another celebrant or appoint another celebrant for the ceremony, 100% of funds paid to date will be passed onto the new celebrant. It is the couple’s responsibility to ensure that the balance of payment, if any, is made to the replacement celebrant.
